Why Nairobi, Why Now
Kenya has emerged as East Africa's most dynamic technology market. With a rapidly growing fintech sector, a maturing cloud adoption curve, and government-driven digital transformation through initiatives like the Kenya Digital Economy Blueprint, the cybersecurity demand signal is unmistakable.
When GITEX announced its Kenya edition, Sechpoint committed early. We brought a team of 12 engineers and solution architects, alongside representatives from six of our key vendor partners. The goal was simple: connect the dots between world-class security technology and the channel partners and end-customers who need it most in East Africa.
Three Days, Hundreds of Conversations
Over three days at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre, our team held over 180 scheduled and walk-up meetings. The themes that dominated:
- Cloud security for financial services. Kenya's banking and insurance sector is deep into cloud migration — and discovering that their on-premise security controls don't follow them. CNAPP and CSPM conversations were constant.
- Identity & Access for distributed workforces. With employees spread across Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and remote areas, Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Identity Governance (IGA) were top of mind for enterprises.
- OT security for energy companies. Kenya's investment in renewable energy — geothermal, wind, solar — means critical infrastructure. The OT security conversation with Claroty was one of the most intense of the event.
- SIEM/SOC uplift. Many organisations are running SIEM deployments that are overwhelmed with noise. Gurucul's behavioural analytics generated significant interest as a path to higher-fidelity alerting.

New Channel Partners Signed
We're pleased to announce that Sechpoint formalised channel partnerships with seven new resellers across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania during and immediately following GITEX Africa Kenya 2026. These partners bring deep local market relationships and will carry Sechpoint's full portfolio of 36+ security technologies to enterprises across East Africa.
